SOCOSOLV B3 is a safe compound strictly free from any harmful components, chlorinated or aromatic hydrocarbons. It is designed for cleaning, degreasing and  preparing metallic or composite surfaces prior to painting or bonding. It is usable either pure or diluted in water.

Compared to diluents with the same efficiency, SOCOSOLV B3 offers major advantages:It is free from hydrocarbons, water-soluble and biodegradable:

  • The controlled and balanced evaporation means large savings in the amounts of product used, and reductions in the quantity of solvent vapours in the atmosphere.
  • The high flash point provides exceptional safety to users in workshops.
  • The flash point is stable in time and remains constant throughout evaporation.

  • SOCOSOLV B3 is designed for workshops where paints, inks, varnishes or adhesives are used and component cleaning and degreasing by dipping, or by spraying.
  • If degreasing in an aqueous medium, SOCOSOLV B3 is an efficient additive for removing inks or temporary protective coatings such as PROPACO.
  • SOCOSOLV B3 is particularly useful when a perfectly clean, impurity-free surface is required for example prior to painting of sheet metal with or without primer, pipework, final cleaning of assemblies before shipping to customers, etc.
  • SOCOSOLV B3 can be used pure, at ambient temperature, by wiping with a cloth, by dipping or by spraying or even in a washing machine. It can be heated up to 60°C in order to increase its efficiency and accelerate the drying of parts.
  • SOCOSOLV B3 can be used diluted in hot water (concentration 5 to 30%) particularly when the dirt layer is thin, or as a pre-degreaser, or even remove dust.
  • The drying of parts can be accelerated by using a jet of compressed air.
