SOCOSTRIP A0402
> THICKENED PAINT REMOVER with ALKALINE ACTIVATOR
- SOCOSTRIP A0402 is a new generation remover, free of dichloromethane, phenol and chromate. It is benzyl alcohol based and contains alkaline activators. It is able to remove all paints and is particularly designed for epoxy, polyurethane and alkyd-urethane. It is not corrosive for metallic alloys, steels, High Tensile steels, aluminium, magnesium and titanium alloys.
- SOCOSTRIP A0402 reduces the safety and environmental risks and drawbacks usually linked to removers containing dichloromethane, phenols, chromates or acids.
- The controlled viscosity facilitates application by hand or by means of "airless" spray equipment to effectively cover all surfaces, even if vertical or overhanging.
- BOEING : Boeing D6-17487P (conform)
- SOCOSTRIP A0402 can be applied manually by brushing or by spraying under low pressure (airless). Because of its alkaline nature, this remover is not compatible with acids; it is not to be used near those products.
- The surfaces to be treated must be clean and dry. It is important to eliminate all soils and greases from the painted surfaces before removal; use suitable cleaners of SYNCLAIR, DIESTONE or HYSO ranges.
- The action of the product begins immediately, but the penetration speed depends on the type of paint, the number of layers to be removed and the temperature. The removal time varies from 5 minutes to several hours.
- If the paint is still adhering 6 or 12 hours after the application, remove the product from the substrate using flexible scrapers and make another application.
- After paint removal, rinse with water or by means of cleaning solvents; the DIESTONE range or DN 108. We strongly advise the use of a solvent when the surfaces have a wash-primer, because this type of coat is not very sensitive to the remover itself, but can be easily dissolved with solvents; conversely the use of water on wash-primers even when softened by the remover has an adverse effect on their stripping.
- Temperature is an important factor. If the temperature is low, the product will act very slowly. The optimum temperature for use is between 22 and 25°C.
- Appearance : thixotropic gel
- Density : (at 20°C) 1
- Flammability : (ISO 2592) 85°C
