Purchasing projects are part of the SOCOMORE Group strategy and ensure that our suppliers are qualified, and the products/services they supply are qualified and available at the best cost, lead-time, quality standards, terms and conditions in order to support the SOCOMORE Group’s operations and innovation.
Formulator of Specialty Chemicals for 50 years, SOCOMORE ensures and develops its activity thanks to a long term partnership with its suppliers in a perennial relationship rich in co-constructed solutions. This partnership is essential for the sustainability of SOCOMORE's offer to its customers.
The objective of our Purchasing policy is to guarantee the availability of products and services according to the technical requirements of our customers' specifications, while regularly increasing the positive impacts in terms of social and environmental responsibility and contributing to the economic sustainability of our activity.

We expect our suppliers to:
- Deliver daily operational performance (On Time in Full, On Quality Delivery)
- Build a constructive and transparent collaboration providing functional solutions and visibility on their sustainability,
- Use the SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) digital platform when available for information exchange,
- Continuous improvement of products and services provided in terms of safety, quality, cost, and timeliness, contributing to our global deployment.
- Compliance with the technical regulations applicable to their field of activity and communicated Applicable Requirements. Communication and compliance with Export Control Rules where applicable.
- Commitment to SOCOMORE's code of conduct and ethics, which can be consulted on our website,
- Sharing their decarbonisation plan and providing the carbon footprint for each item delivered to SOCOMORE.
- Integrating environmental impact and sustainability into the development of their activities and items by calculating the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) of products, in order to meet our target of achieving an 80% LCA for our finished products by 2030,
- Reducing their environmental impact by optimising the use of natural resources (water, energy, raw materials),
- Prioritising sustainable, renewable and ideally local resources,
- Actively participating in waste recycling channels and adopting circular economy practices (recycling, reuse, etc.).
SOCOMORE develops long-term partnerships with its suppliers, integrating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues in line with the six pillars of our Purchasing Policy.
- Ensure the availability and sustainability of current sourcing,
- Integrate innovative products,
- Guarantee our competitiveness with our customers and ensure the economic sustainability of our suppliers,
- Reduce our dependency on greenhouse gases (GHG) by improving and/or selecting materials with a lower impact in our products,
- Reducing our impact more broadly by assessing our sourcing according to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to cover 80% of our sales by 2030,
- Respecting and promoting safety and fundamental human rights throughout our supply chain.
